OPENING DAY INFO

SPRING 2026 OPENING DAY SCHEDULE INFORMATION

Saturday, February 28th, is Opening Day for the Spring 2026 Season.  Players will have a Skills Clinic, directed by our volunteer coaches and area high school and college soccer players.  Parents will come to a Parent Meeting on the bleachers between Fields 3 & 4 during your player's scheduled skills clinic time.  Even if you have had a child play at NR before, please attend this season's meeting so that you can help the Commissioners make sure that they cover everything. Alternatively, you can go reline fields, fill sandbags, or mend nets to get your volunteer time started.

Rain Out Information

If the fields need to be closed during a season, we will post the closure on our website.
The website will be updated by 8am on game days.

For U5, U6, U8, and U10 age groups, we do not reschedule cancelled games as a common practice.   While there may be rare occasions that we do reschedule cancelled games (such as Play Day), our approach will be to standardly schedule a few doubleheaders throughout our season.  Our goal has always been for each team to participate in 8 games throughout the season.  The expected result of this doubleheader policy is that each team will have 9 to 10 games scheduled and that after rain-outs they will have gotten to play an average of 8 games.   This scheduling policy will still mean that some seasons a player may get 7 games and other seasons may get 9 or 10 games.   We hope you can appreciate that while you may have to give up a game due to a rainout, scheduling doubleheaders results in less chaos and fewer cancelled practices (historically make up games took place on week nights during practice times).

The remaining Age Groups will reschedule their games, based on space availability, the Coach’s schedule, and the availability of opposing teams and officials for makeup games.
